Air Quality Management - to control the emission of dusts and acid mist released from the crushing, mining and electrowinning activities under the exposure level in respective areas.

Water Management and Water Quality - overall site water management intended to control storm waters, run-off waters, ground and surface water quality and to lessen natural water usage in operations.

Acid Rock Drainage - in respect to any potential ARD arising from waste dumps, mine pit waters, leach pads and process ponds and tailings facilities.

Land Management - Management of land caused by tailings spills, reducing impacts on soils and erosion control, environmental liabilities from previous activities and degraded areas not directly related to MICCL operations.

Chemical and Hydrocarbon Management - the prevention of spills of hydrocarbon wastes to land or nearby water, the bioremediation of hydrocarbon waste and the recycling of any oily wastes.

Waste Management - landfill mechanism of domestic and industrial wastes, the secure disposal of biomedical waste and non-mining wastes and reusing and recycling of certain wastes through functional methods.

Rehabilitation - a mandate to promote progressive, active rehabilitation programs at all sites that focuses on the early development of final landforms with direct return of topsoils where possible to minimize costs and maximize the restoration process and lease relinquishment at mine closure.

Biodiversity Conservation - retaining the ecological integrity of project arena while dynamic aspirations of conservation of critical biodiversity.

copper contamination in crops - eight different crops around SSE Project area have been assayed annually for copper contamination.
